Bapatla Education Society established in 1962, is one of the most prestigious Educational Societies providing high quality education in Andhra Pradesh. The society is running several educational institutions like Bapatla College of Arts & Sciences, Bapatla Engineering College, Bapatla Public School, Bapatla Junior College, Bapatla College of Pharmacy and Bapatla Polytechnic College. All the institutions are named after the place name as Bapatla. The society consists of a large group of members with outstanding social status. The society was established with a great vision to provide quality education on par with global standards to the students form all over India and in particular those from local and rural areas. Society is maintaining high standards so as to make them technologically competent ethically strong individuals who shall be able to improve the quality of life and economy of our country.
Bapatla College of Pharmacy (BCOP) started in the year 1995 by the Bapatla Education Society, is offering Diploma, U.G and P.G programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences with English as of medium of instruction.
The institute has its own spectacular buildings with spacious well-equipped sophisticated laboratories, classrooms and other facilities as per the norms and standards of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
The college has started M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) programme in 2004-05 year and provided separate AC laboratories, AC lecture halls, library and seminar hall for the P.G programme.
BCOP is the first institute to offer B.Pharm and M. Pharm programmes under J.N.T. University. The college is located in a spacious 50-acre campus with landscapes of sandy soil and has pleasant breeze from the Bank of Bay of Bengal.
BCOP has been successful in providing and maintaining high quality in Teaching and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Several faculty members acquired Ph. D availing the research facilities of the college. The Alumini of BCOP are professionally active and doing extremely well in industry, education and profession both in India and abroad.
The College is situated a little away from the din and bustle of Bapatla, a medium sized town with a historic and hoary past, about 75km. south of Vijayawada on Chennai – rail route.
