Dr. T. Easwara Gopala Krishna Murthy

Dr. T. Easwara Gopala Krishna Murthy graduated in Pharmacy from Gulbarga University in 1992 and completed his M.Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics from Birla Institute of Technology in 1995. Soon after completing his postgraduate studies, he joined Bapatla College of Pharmacy, Bapatla, as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutics.

Owing to his commitment, dedication, and excellence in teaching and research, he was subsequently promoted to the positions of Associate Professor and Professor. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2004 from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

Since 2006, he has been serving Bapatla College of Pharmacy in responsible academic and administrative roles as the Principal, contributing significantly to the institution’s academic growth and research development.

Dr. Murthy has successfully guided 25 Ph.D. scholars and supervised 105 M.Pharmacy project dissertations. He holds 11 patents and has secured research grants worth ₹40 lakhs from prestigious funding agencies such as AICTE and DBT.

He has an impressive publication record with 276 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, including 119 Scopus-indexed publications. In addition, he has authored 6 textbooks and 3 book chapters with reputed publishers.

Dr. Murthy has actively contributed to academic development by organizing 26 seminars, conferences, and workshops and has participated in 121 national and international conventions, seminars, and conferences. He has also delivered several guest lectures at various academic events.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to teaching and research, he received the Meritorious University Best Teacher Award from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada four times and the Best Researcher Award from the same university.

The Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (AP State Branch) honored him with the Best Teacher Award in 2023, and he was also conferred the Andhra Pradesh State Best Teacher Award in 2025 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Murthy is a Life Member of several professional organizations including the Indian Pharmaceutical Association and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Pharmacy & Biotechnology and the AP Academy of Sciences.
