Policy for Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities)
In accordance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, Bapatla College of Pharmacy (BCOP) ensures that persons with disabilities are treated with dignity, without discrimination, and with equal opportunities. The institution is committed to creating an inclusive and barrier-free environment through necessary infrastructure and support systems, monitored by a designated committee.
Objectives
  • To create a barrier-free campus and prevent discrimination or exploitation of disabled students.
  • To provide and maintain accessible infrastructure such as ramps, lifts, and functional washrooms.
  • To install clear signage with proper contrast for persons with visual impairment.
  • To support learners with disabilities with appropriate academic and non-academic resources.
Qualified Person with Disability
A qualified person with disability is one who meets the required educational and skill criteria for admission, programs, or employment, and can perform essential functions with reasonable accommodation as per government norms.
Accessibility Policy
The institution ensures full access to services, programs, and activities for qualified persons with disabilities. Key measures include:
  • Accessibility in all UG and PG programs.
  • Provision of accessible study materials.
  • Awareness programs for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • 5% reservation for eligible persons with disabilities as per the Act.
Grievance Committee
A committee comprising the Principal, Administrative Officer, two faculty members, and two students addresses concerns and ensures timely redressal of grievances related to persons with disabilities.
Examination Policy
Reasonable accommodations, including the provision of scribes as per examination guidelines, are made to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
