The department of pharmacognosy of Bapatla college of pharmacy comprises of natural drugs extraction and analysis equipment’s, the faculty are engaged in multi-disciplinary pharmaceutical research works such as screening of chemical constituents, analysis of herbal formulations and development of natural drugs in collaboration with departments of pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical biotechnology and pharmaceutics. The medicinal plant garden which is spacious having variety of medicinal plants is situated in the campus. Natural drugs of different categories are placed in the department and separately in herbal museum for the study and conduction of multi research activities by various members involved in it.
