The faculty, graduate students and postgraduate students of the Bapatla College of Pharmacy conduct front-line research in areas of pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy that range from identifying fundamental mechanisms of disease, to designing and developing new drugs. Funding for research projects in laboratories at the College of Pharmacy has more than doubled over the past five years with the support of various national funding sources such as All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of Government of India and various collaborative research programs with various Pharmaceutical Companies Such as NATCO Pharma and APOGEN Remedies has generated discoveries and innovations that have brought international recognition.
The vitality of these research programs is evidenced by the many projects, often in multiple categories, that have been awarded nationally competitive funding and that are underway here in the College of Pharmacy.
