INSTITUTION'S INNOVATION COUNCIL (IIC)

About IIC

Institution’s Innovation Council program is initiative of Ministry of Education through MOE’s innovation cell in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions to systematically foster the culture of innovation and startup ecosystem in educational institutions.

The role of Institution’s Innovation Council is to engage large number of faculty, students and staff in various innovations and entrepreneurship related activities such as ideation, problem solving, Design thinking, IPR so that innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem gets established and stabilized in HEIs.

The primary mandate of IIC is to encourage, improve and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas.

  1. To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities prescribed by MIC in the scheduled time.
  2. Organize periodic workshops/seminars with entrepreneurs and professionals to create a mentor pool for student innovation.
  3. Organize Hackathon, idea competitions, exhibitions at the campus level.
  4. To nurture culture of innovation at campus.
  5. Helping idea to translate into reality and upgrade them to the level of commercial value.
