Dr. Talasila Eswara Gopala Krishna Murthy, who hails from a village of Nagayalanka in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, had his successful school education from Zilla Parishat Government High School, Nagayalanka and Intermediate from Hindu College, Machilipatnam. He had obtained graduation in B.Pharmacy from Luqman College of Pharmacy, Gulbarga affiliated to Gulbarga University and was ranked the topper of the college since its inception in 1984 and Masters Degree in Pharmaceutics Specialization from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand with distinction. He did Doctoral Degree in the field of Controlled release formulations from JNT University, Hyderabad.
Subsequently he launched himself into the academic field as an Assistant Professor in Bapatla College of Pharmacy, Bapatla, Guntur District in the year 1995 and promoted to Associate Professor and Professor, from which he was elevated to the present level of Principal in 2006.
Dr. T.E.Gopala Krishnamurthy served as an academic supervisor to more than 60 Master Degree dissertations and 9 PhD Degree dissertations for the award of M.Pharm and PhD Degrees. He is presently guiding eight research scholars in different fields of pharmacy. He has published many research articles in reputed national and international Journals. He shared his research experience on the platforms of 25 national and international conferences, workshops, seminars and symposia. He is a member of professional bodies such as Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and Indian Pharmacological Society (Life Member). He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Pharmaceutical Company Apogen Remedies Pvt. Ltd, based at Hyderabad
He received fellowship from Association of Pharmacy and Biotechnology and is a recipient of meritorious teacher award from JNTUK, Kakinada. He is acting as Editorial Board Member for various journals, authored 4 text books and filed for 5 Patents. He acted as Convener for two AICTE Sponsored National Seminars and two Staff Development Programmes. He was granted generous funds from AICTE under RPS and MODROBS Schemes during his academic service till now.
