The Bapatla College of Pharmacy is one of first private pharmacy colleges established in the year 1995. It is located on a 55-acre campus in Bapatla, the fast growing town and is very well known as education hub because of wide number of renowned schools and colleges of which Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural College and the College of Agricultural Engineering , college of food science and technology, Bapatla Public School, Bapatla Engineering College, Bapatla Polytechnic college etc. are some of the most prestigious institutions . The campus incorporates large areas of grass malls with well-lighted, tree-lined paths. The College is easily accessible by road from Bapatla town, providing 50,000 square feet of state-of-the-art teaching and laboratory facilities. Additionally, the pharmacy college houses a pilot plant of INNOVIND Pharma Ltd (A pharmaceutical Drug Manufacturer) and CPCSEA approved animal house facility.
Bapatla Pharmacy College is one of the seven educational Institutions founded and run by BAPATLA EDUCATION SOCIETY. The society was established in the year 1962 registered (No: 58/1962) under societies act XXI of 1860 with the objectives to fund and run the educational & cultural Institutions.

Bapatla College of Pharmacy (BCOP) established in the year 1995 by Bapatla Education Society has been committed to offering quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. The campus spread over 8-acres of lush greenery is offering B. Pharmacy, a bachelor four-year course in 1995, followed by M. Pharmacy-specialisation in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis courses in 2004 and 2009 respectively. The self-financed institution affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and approved by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi admits students as per the rules and regulations of APSCHE.

BCOP maintains cutting-edge facilities, advanced laboratories with sophisticated equipment, fully facilitated library with a varied collection of books and journals with internet access, digital resources, classrooms, teaching aids, and well-developed infrastructure for extracurricular activities to deliver an excellent curriculum to the students.
The college has well equipped laboratories in basic sciences and pharmacy for students to understand concepts effectually. Advanced laboratory experiments help students gain insight into the new frontiers of pharmacy and allied sciences. The computer laboratories are well equipped with latest computers. The laboratories have been provided with the equipment used in different stages of production, quality control and packing at par with pharmaceutical industries. Tabletting machines, coating and polishing pans, bottle filling machines, fluidized bed coater, extruder and spheronizer and QC. instruments like FTIR, gas chromatography, disintegration, dissolution test apparatus, U.V. visible spectrophotometer and HPLC are a few of the modern and sophisticated
equipment available.
The learning-centered academic and professional environment nurtures high-caliber pharmacists and researchers equipped with the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to meet society’s expanding healthcare needs.
HOLISTIC EDUCATION
BCOP strives to nurture pharmacy professionals with knowledge, skills and competencies at global standard with imbibed core values of respect, professionalism, leadership and social responsibilities. Students are encouraged to participate in various pharmacy-related national and international conferences, workshops, development programs, industry visits and extracurricular activities. The well-recognized NSS and NCC units strive to instill moral principles. Social and professional responsibilities are inculcated through outreach programs, while personality development programs, sports, cultural and literary activities facilitate holistic development. The dedicated mentoring programme offers special guidance for competitive exams and organizes workshops on career counselling and personality development.
BCOP students have proven their mettle in games like badminton, cricket, volleyball, chess, and bagged medals at State and National tournaments.
Several students have brought pride and honour to the institution through their achievements. While N. Srikanth participated in the 75th Republic Day celebrations parade, R.Sanmathi participated in the IIC National Innovation Contest 2023 and was shortlisted for the final round.
PAVING THE WAY FOR A SECURE, BRIGHT AND PROSPEROUS FUTURE
BCOP has an effectual placement team comprising faculty and student representatives, placing students in prominent industries/ institutions across India in renowned organizations like Divis Laboratories Limited and Nestle visits the campus for placements regularly. Students are successfully placed in pharmaceutical industry, hospital pharmacies, clinical research organizations, medical coding companies, pharmacy institutions, and governmental agencies.
THOUGHTFUL FACILITIES
A girl’s hostel with 160 rooms accommodating 640 students is located on the campus. The hostel provides hygienic food under the guidance of a nutritionist. Each room with an attached bathroom accommodates four students. Other facilities include volley ball court, football field, indoor games room, in-house stores, 200 KVA generator and geysers. The in -house dispensary has a weekly visiting doctor. A well-maintained mineral water plant and coolers fulfil the drinking water needs of hostellers.

As on date, the college has 9 patents to its credit and a few more patents are in process for want of grant.
